Announcing The West Covina Symphony Orchestra "Music Academy".
The West Covina Symphony is offering a special educational/enrichment program for "kids" of all ages, from youth to "young at heart" - The Music Academy.
The program includes specialized private instruction in musical instruments with optional ensemble playing and final showcase concert.
Our instructors are highly qualified professional performing musicians. Among the instruments offered:
Violin, viola, cello, bass
Flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, saxophone
French horn, trumpet, trombone
Drums, percussion
Harp
Piano
Vocal
Chamber ensemble (quartet, trio, etc)
Composition, arranging, orchestration, music theory, song writing, conducting.
Other instruments may be available upon inquiry.
Lessons are 30, 45 or 60 minute private lessons.
Teachers set their own teaching schedules, but arrangement for lesson times may be facilitated through the symphony.
Tuition fees vary according to instrument and lesson length.
Payments are required monthly in advance, discounts available for "semester" billing. Automatic monthly payments are possible.
We accept cash, checks, or major credit/debit cards.
"Semester" = 14 lessons, qualifies for discount when paid in advance.
Teachers set their own policies regarding missed lessons. In general 24 - 48 hours notice is required for a missed lesson. Teachers set their own policies regarding "Make-up" lessons. Usually make-ups may be possible provided sufficient notice of absence is provided. In addition - generally if a teacher has to miss a scheduled lesson, they will provide opportunity to reschedule the lesson or give credit for the missed lesson fee.
